Hello and Welcome to The Bay Area Receivers Forum Council

The Bay Area Council is a regional group of the state California Receivers Forum consisting of receivers, attorneys, accountants, real estate brokers, and property managers. We address the local needs and concerns of all parties who participate in the receivership process, to facilitate communication between the receivership community and the courts, and to assist in raising the level of professionalism of receivers.

JOIN

Past, present, and future receivers, lenders, attorneys, accountants, judges, property managers, title companies, asset managers, environmentalists, and any related support groups who have been, or may be involved in receivership cases, should become a member. CONNECT

The Bay Area Council meetings generally include a guest speaker. The meetings will provide a forum to network, exchange information and receive answers to problems or questions. The Bay Area Council has a long tradition of coming together to do a community service projects such as weekend work morning at a local food bank.

EVENTS

The California Receivers Forum’s state Education Committee coordinates educational programs that are offered statewide as podcasts, webinars or in person programs and symposiums. The Bay Area Council also produces at least one state program each year. Additionally, the Bay Area Council produces live regional programs.

Question: Why join the California Receivers Forum?

The California Receivers Forum is the only organization in California that brings together all of the professionals involved in receiverships – accountants, attorneys, property managers, receivers, work out professionals, vendors to receivers, lenders, and others. If you are in this business segment and want to get to know the professionals in our area, join the California Receivers Forum.

Networking at our educational programs often leads to business referrals and provides a forum to ask questions and share war stories and ideas amongst seasoned professionals.

Educational programs are held periodically. These programs are excellent ways to learn what’s new, how to solve troublesome issues, how to better manage your receiverships, how to prepare better pleadings, how to protect yourself, and how to work more effectively within the court system.

Receivership News is published three or four times yearly and sent to each member. This newsletter includes substantive articles on topics of interest to receivers. There is an index on the website of literally hundreds of articles with keyword searches available.

Which Council should I join?

Everyone is a member of the state organization and chooses a regional Council which is geographically convenient to their business. There are Councils in San Diego, LA-Orange County, the Bay Area, Central California, and Sacramento Valley. You may join more than one Council if you choose. Check the “Council” section of the website for information on the Administrator for each Chapter. This individual can answer specific questions about their Council.
